Zafar has over 45 years of engineering, project management, real estate and business experience.  Zafar graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from UCLA and earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Pepperdine University. He holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a Real Estate Broker license in the State of California. Zafar has held high-level positions in private companies and with a Los Angeles County public agency.

Over a long period, Zafar has developed relationships with Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Government agencies, and other professionals and stakeholders needed to complete a housing project. He realizes that every development project is unique with its own distinct opportunities and challenges. So every project requires tailored solutions rather than cookie cutter approach.  Using his extensive experience, Zafar analyzes every project and develops a feasibility plan. Then he puts together a team to complete the project.  

Zafar is also a Real Estate Broker and offers Real Estate services to buy or sell real estate as a California Licensed Real Estate Broker under dba of Gemstar Properties, DRE License # 01707367.

Zafar also offers Commercial Real Estate Consulting services to evaluate property values and property taxes and helps clients reduce their property taxes under a separate company, Property & Business Solutions, Inc. 

Zafar is also a founding director on the board of a non-profit organization, Carrie Mehdi Foundation, that was formed in 2013 in memory of his wife. Foundation donates to other non profit organizations helping the poor, needy and homeless, for medical research for environmental preservation of sites of natural  beauty and for health and welfare of dogs.
